from me

Hi, I’m Shannon—thank you so much for being here. I believe senior photos should feel natural, comfortable, and true to who you are. My goal is to create an experience where you can relax, have fun, and walk away with images that feel like you, not stiff or overly posed. I’m excited to help you celebrate this season and create photos you’ll be proud to look back on.

As a mom of four amazing kids, who are almost all now in college, I have years of experience photographing teens. My photography journey started 12 years ago, so I the expertise to make this one of the highlights of your senior year!

THE BEST TIME OF YEAR IN OREGON FOR SENIOR PHOTOS

The time of year you choose plays a huge role in how your photos look and feel. Summer is the most popular time, followed by Fall. Spring is great for friends sessions or Cap + Gown sessions.

SPRING

In Spring everything starts coming back to life. Trees start to bloom and fields turn green. Wildflowers start to pop and the weather warms up.

SUMMER

Wildflowers reach peak bloom, lavender and sunflower fields are stunning, but brief. Fields begin to turn gold. Weather is the most consistent- warm and sunny.

FALL

Leaves turn colors and fields go golden. Some flowers are still in bloom and the weather stays pretty consistent. Popular locations are less busy.

LET’S PLAN YOUR SENIOR SESSION!

QUESTIONS?

Summer and fall is the busiest time of year, so I recommend booking your session at least 3 months before. For the Oregon Coast, weekend dates in the summer and fall book 4-6 months in advance. But always check with me, as schedule do change at times.

If weather is an issue, we’ll adjust the plan together. That may mean shifting the start time, changing locations, or rescheduling if needed. I always keep a close eye on forecasts and communicate clearly so we make the best decision for your session.

Your senior session can be a lot more fun when you bring along someone who makes you feel comfortable and supported. Many seniors choose to have a parent—often mom—nearby for outfit help, encouragement, and a little hype when it’s needed. Others love bringing a close friend to make them laugh or help shake off any nerves. If your dog is part of your everyday life, they’re more than welcome to join too, as long as the location allows it

This is more common than you think—and totally okay. My sessions are relaxed, guided, and never forced. I focus on natural movement, conversation, and keeping things comfortable so it never feels awkward or overly posed. Most seniors start off nervous and end the session feeling confident and surprised by how fun it was. Special note for boys- I have 3 teen/college aged boys so I am very experienced with helping them have fun at their session!

My editing style is natural and true to who you are. I gently retouch temporary blemishes like breakouts or scratches while keeping skin texture and features realistic.

On average, a one hour session at one location, with 2-3 outfits will include 50-60 images, often many more. The more outfits/locations, the more photos will be included.
