Sherwood Senior Photographer | Teyo

I truly love being a Sherwood senior photographer because I get to meet so many incredible teens each year. As a parent of three teenage boys, senior sessions with young men are some of my favorites. For Teyo’s session, we explored a few of my favorite locations in Sherwood, giving a variety of backdrops and vibes for his photos.

Teyo has been close friends with my boys since elementary school, and he has always felt like part of the family. He’s a talented lacrosse player with one of the funniest personalities I know. He’ll be attending Oregon State University next year, and it was such a joy to capture this milestone in his life.

I know many boys aren’t always excited about senior photos, but I make it a priority to create a relaxed, easy-going session that helps them feel confident in front of the camera. By the end of Teyo’s session, he was laughing, moving naturally, and having a great time—it really flew by! Senior photos should be fun, authentic, and reflect who you are right now.

3 IDEAS FOR SENIOR BOY PHOTOS

  1. Incorporate their interests: This could be a sport they play, activity they enjoy or even their beloved car or truck. Photographing them doing/showing off something they love will really help them relax.
  2. Next steps: Will your son be going to college next year? Include an outfit option with an item from that college. These photos are also a great way to announce his college of choice.
  3. Have a friend come to the photo session: Having a buddy there can help boys relax. A friend can offer comedic relief if needed. Some of the things I have overheard during sessions have had me in tears laughing.
