Gearhart Oregon Coast Wedding on the Beach | Kayla + Matt

Gearhart Oregon is a little town on the Oregon Coast just north of Seaside. It is quaint, quiet and the perfect place for an Oregon Coast wedding on the beach. I first met Kayla and Matt a few months before their wedding for their engagement session in the Columbia River Gorge. It was great getting to know them better and hear all about their plans for their special Oregon Coast beach wedding. Kayla and Matt were hoping for a foggy, misty day at the beach. Instead, they got a very warm summer afternoon with little wind. It was a beautiful day to get married.

They had rented an Airbnb in Gearhart that was big enough for everyone to get ready in. It was a beautiful house. The excitement and joy seemed to build by the minute. Kayla and Matt were so ready to say “I do” and celebrate with close friends and family. After getting ready at the house and their first look, we headed down to the beach. The ceremony was set down by the ocean with a beautiful arch. The reception was set up along the grass line in anticipation of a higher tide that evening.

Kayla and Matt’s vows were so personal and sweet. The toasts were full of love and laughter. I was very impressed with their beach themed cake. It was exactly how Kayla envisioned her wedding cake. Everyone had such a great time celebrating on the beach. Oregon Coast weddings are so much fun for everyone. Kayla and Matt ended the evening by running through the ocean with some of the wedding party. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful wedding on the beach.

GETTING READY

Kayla and Matt rented a beautiful Airbnb in Gearhart, Oregon, where everyone gathered to get ready for the day. The space was perfect for a relaxed morning, and you could feel the excitement building as the moments passed. They were both so ready to get to the beach and finally say “I do.”

Their first look was such a sweet, emotional moment before heading to the coast. It gave them a chance to slow down, connect, and take it all in together. From there, we made our way to the beach for the rest of their Oregon Coast wedding.

Kayla’s cake was a highlight—beautifully designed and exactly how she had imagined it. Everything felt simple, intentional, and perfectly suited for a Gearhart beach wedding.
