Ellie & Josh | Winter Barn Wedding at the Inn at Avonlea

Ellie and Josh’s winter barn wedding at the Inn at Avonlea was so beautiful, full of so many laughs and so much love. Located in Sandy Oregon, this lovely barn was the perfect winter wedding venue. Ellie and Josh’s wedding took place on a chilly but dry December day just before Christmas. They were joined by their closest friends and family who were all excited to celebrate. Ellie and Josh selected the perfect place to say I Do!

I first met Ellie a few years ago when my daughter started dancing at Fired-Up Dance Academy. Watching her dance was mezmerizing. I really enjoyed getting to know her so well and working on some fun projects together. These photos from her senior session at the coast are some of my all time favorite images. I remember when I first started to hear about a special guy she had started spending time with named Josh. Their relationship developed quickly and in so many ways reminded me of my own story with my husband. Josh is in the Marines and they are quickly learning about military life. Ellie and Josh have so much love for another and they both support each other completely. I have loved watching their love story play out and I am so excited for all the adventures the future will bring these two.

All the girls got ready upstairs in the farmhouse. The farmhouse was decorated to perfection, as if Joanna Gaines decorated it herself. There was excitement and so many laughs throughout the morning. It was so much fun hanging out with these ladies, most of which are dancers and are some of my favorite people! Ellie’s dress fit her perfectly and she looked amazing. It was such a beautiful dress. The guys quickly got ready downstairs in the farmhouse and then headed out to the barn to practice their reception dance.

Ellie and Josh were so excited to see each other. Josh looked so handsome in his Marine dress blues and Ellie looked absolutely gorgeous. Ellie surprised Josh was the sweetest note and these two enjoyed a few quiet moments together.

The wedding party joined us outside by the barn for photos. It was quite cold but everyone pushed through the chill. There were so many funny moments that I had to include them in this blog post. Everyone looked amazing! After photos the girls warmed up inside and Ellie practiced her vows before the ceremony started.

The ceremony took place inside the barn. The heaters kept the barn warm and cozy. Ellie’s brother Sage walked her down the isle and that was so special. Ellie and Josh’s vows were so sweet.

The barn was decorated beautifully. I loved the pop of blue. The hot cocoa station was definitely a hit as were the blankets. Everything came together perfectly!

Before the sun went down and the downpour began were walked around the property for a few more couples photos. Josh changed into his tux and Ellie bustled her dress. They looked great! When you are around these two you can’t help but smile. They are so goofy together and are always making each other laugh. They are so happy and in love!

After photos, it was time to celebrate, eat and dance! With a barn full of talented dancers, you can only guess how entertaining it was to watch. Ellie’s sister Kimi choreographed a wedding party dance. It was so sure the hit of the evening! Everyone is the barn loved these two so much and were so excited to be there. It was a very fun evening!
