Spring Tulip Field Mini Sessions are coming up soon. Because we have had a pretty mild winter, I am anticipating the fields to be in bloom sooner than previous years. This is my favorite time of year and one of my favorite festivals to visit. The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is located in Woodburn, Oregon. If you haven’t been to the tulip fields, you are missing out. Rain or shine, the tulip fields are gorgeous. Mini sessions take place rain or shine. It’s Oregon, so if it rains, put on your rainboots and lets have some fun in the tulips.
Tulip field sessions are for everyone. I have done Maternity sessions and Couples sessions in the fields. Little ones and families are also so much fun to photograph in the tulips. The festival does gets busy, especially on the weekends or nice weather days. Luckily, the tulip farm grounds are extensive and there is plenty of room for all. Also, photo sessions take place closer to sunset and most people leave before then.

This year I am working with the talented Brenna Burnett Florals again. She is a wonderful florist and makes the most beautiful floral crowns. These are perfect for tulip sessions and are available as an add-on.

The tulip fields at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm are one of the most beautiful places in Oregon for spring photos. The vibrant rows of colorful tulips create a stunning backdrop for family sessions. Because the fields are only open for a short time each year, it’s best to plan your session during peak bloom in early April when the flowers are at their most vibrant.
Sessions are typically scheduled close to sunset or just after sunrise, when the light is soft and flattering, creating that warm glow across the fields. It’s also one of the quieter times of day, which makes the experience more relaxed for families with little ones.
