Spring Tulip Field Session | Portland Family Photographer
I was so excited to photograph this wonderful family again—this time surrounded by the vibrant tulip fields at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. I first met Katie and Bryan when Katie was about eight months pregnant during her maternity session, which quickly became one of my favorites. When their sweet daughter Ella arrived in October, I had the joy of photographing her newborn session as well. She was the tiniest little bundle of joy. Seeing Katie and Bryan step into parenthood with so much love was incredibly special, and I was so excited to see them again and meet Ella as she’s grown. And oh my—she has grown so much.

SPRING FAMILY PHOTOS IN THE OREGON TULIPS FIELDS
We met at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fields about an hour before sunset. It had been sunny most of the day, but as evening approached the clouds began to roll in. Luckily the rain held off, and the soft light created the most beautiful atmosphere for photos. This little family is pure joy to photograph. Baby Ella was all smiles the entire session, and the love between Katie and Bryan is so easy to see. I truly adore this sweet family.

SPRING IS A WONDERFUL TIME FOR FAMILY PHOTOS IN THE TULIPS
Spring in Oregon is one of my favorite times of year. The weather begins to warm, the trees start to bloom, and the landscape bursts with color again. It’s the perfect season to get outside and update your family photos. One of the highlights of spring in Oregon is the opening of the tulip fields. The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn is an incredible place to visit, with endless rows of tulips in every color imaginable stretching across the fields. The tulips typically bloom for about six weeks each spring, with peak blooms usually happening in early April. With its vibrant colors and open spaces, this beautiful location is perfect family spring tulip field photo sessions.

READY TO BOOK YOUR FAMILY SPRING TULIP FIELD SESSION?
The tulip fields at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm are one of the most beautiful places in Oregon for spring photos. The vibrant rows of colorful tulips create a stunning backdrop for family sessions. Because the fields are only open for a short time each year, it’s best to plan your session during peak bloom in early April when the flowers are at their most vibrant.
Sessions are typically scheduled close to sunset or just after sunrise, when the light is soft and flattering, creating that warm glow across the fields. It’s also one of the quieter times of day, which makes the experience more relaxed for families with little ones.
I would love to hear from you and help create a relaxed, meaningful experience for your family.
