Sherwood Family Photographer | The Hulme Family
This Sherwood family session took place at the Tualatin River Wildlife Refuge. I love this nature area all year but especially in the fall. The leaves are so beautiful and the trails provide a perfect place for little ones to explore. I first met the Hulme family for Jensen’s newborn sessions a few months ago and now Jensen is 4 months old. They are the sweetest family and have two very adorable little boys. The Hulme family chose a weekday in October for their session. We lucked out and had dry weather, although it was a little chilly. I love the outfits mom put together. Fall family sessions are the perfect way to update family photos and create new family memories.
Fall Family Session in Sherwood

READY TO BOOK YOUR FALL FAMILY SESSION?
Fall is one of the most beautiful times of year in Oregon for family photos. The changing leaves, golden fields, and crisp autumn air create a warm and timeless backdrop for fall family sessions. The rich tones of the season — deep reds, warm golds, and soft browns — photograph beautifully and add so much depth to your images.
Because fall colors only last for a short window each year, it’s best to plan your session in advance to capture the peak of the season. In the Portland area, fall color typically arrives in mid-October through early November, depending on the weather.
Sessions are usually scheduled close to sunset or just after sunrise, when the light is soft and flattering. That golden fall light filtering through the trees creates a cozy, glowing atmosphere that feels both natural and relaxed — perfect for families with little ones.
I would love to hear from you and help create a relaxed, meaningful fall family session that captures this season of life for your family.
