Rowena & Chad | September Wedding at Yellow Gold Farm, Salem Oregon

Rowena and Chad’s beautiful wedding at Yellow Gold Farm last September was so much fun. Yellow Gold Farm is wonderful wedding venue outside of Salem, Oregon, near Albany. The weather was perfect and the grounds were beautiful. Being a wedding photographer is an incredible job. I loved photographing this wonderful couple.

All Rowena and Chad’s closest family and friends were at their wedding. Everyone was so happy and full of energy. This is a family that knows how to laugh and knows how to have a great time. Family means everything to Chad and Rowena and that clearly showed.

Rowena’s dress was so beautiful. The lace was elegant and the sash was gorgeous.

Chad and Rowena decided they wanted to do a First Look. Rowena arrived in the coolest little red car. When they turned around and saw each other for the first time, both started crying. It was a very special and intimate moment. Rowena and her ladies were so funny. I don’t think anyone could keep a straight face. Everyone was laughing so hard they had tears in their eyes. This white and navy wedding was so pretty again the greens of Yellow Gold Farm. I really love the pink pop of color from the roses.Chad and Rowena’s ceremony was lovely and full of emotions. Rowena’s father was able to walk her down the isle and that was so important and meaningful for her. They exchanged their own vows and sealed them with a big kiss. They also started the ceremony with a Selfie! And after that the phones were all put away for the rest of the ceremony. I love unplugged weddings and really believe they need to happen at every ceremony. There isn’t nothing worse for a photographer then missing important photos because a cell phone is blocking a moment or a flash ruins the photo.After the ceremony everyone headed inside for drinks, dinner and dancing.

Right before the sun went down we went outside for couples photos. The light was so pretty. It’s totally worth leaving the reception for 10-15 minutes for couples photos.
