Pacific City, Oregon Coast Extended Family Session

Pacific City was the perfect place for an Oregon Coast extended family session. The Quist Family all met in Pacific City for a week of fun, family and lots of laughing. The Oregon Coast is a great place for larger families to meet and spend some quality time together. I love that Lisa was so excited to have all her kids and grandkids be able to make the trip to the beach. The Quist family met me on the beach at the north end of Pacific City near Cape Kiwanda. There were 13 adults and 13 kids all dressed perfectly for a beach session. I love blue tones and neutrals for beach photos.

For July, it was a little chilly and foggy, but we made the best of the weather. I have never let Oregon Coast weather dictate beach sessions. We embrace the weather, sunshine, rain or fog. It wasn’t too cold for the little ones, but a little windy for sure. I spent a little over an hour with the Quist family. First we took many groups photos together and lots of in between moments were photographed as well. Extended family sessions can be overwhelming at times, but if you are organized with a plan before, they go very smoothly.

I think it is very important to spend some time with each individual family as well as the group as a whole. Each of these families were so much fun to work with. The joy and laughter amongst the whole family was contagious. The Quist family sure do love each other very much and they also love to have fun together. It was an honor to photograph them during their summer family vacation in Pacific City.
