Oregon Waterfall Hikes with Kids | Wahclella Falls
This year for Mother’s Day I knew I wanted to get out of the house and go explore. We decided to do the Wahclella Falls hike in the Columbia Gorge. The Wahclella Falls hike is a great hike for the whole family. There are some great kid friendly hikes throughout the Gorge and this one is a favorite of ours. The hike is about 2 miles roundtrip. The path is well taken care of and there is plenty to see. My kids first did this hike when my youngest was 3. He was able to walk the whole way there and back with no problem. For more information about the hike, this is a great site with information on every hike in the area, Oregon Hikers.
Wahclella Falls is a powerful waterfall. It is very impressive. There are several smaller waterfalls along the trail during the winter and spring. The hike is very pretty with many things to see. Your kids will love it and it will really be an amazing day together as a family.
We look forward to hiking to Wahclella Falls again this summer. When the water levels are lower, there is a great area to splash in the water.
