Oregon Coast Wedding Photographer | Hug Point After Wedding Session
This was one of my most favorite sessions this year. Janelle & Garrett’s After the Wedding Trash the Dress Session at Hug Point along the Oregon Coast was incredible! When Janelle first talked about doing a special couples session after the wedding, I had so many ideas. But as soon as I said the beach, we both agreed that would be the perfect location. Hug Point, near Cannon Beach happens to be my favorite beach along the northern Oregon Coast. Hug Point is the perfect place for intimate and romantic photography sessions.
Janelle and Garrett were married in August. They had a beautiful wedding and were surrounded by all their friends and family. A few days after the wedding we both had one day available to make this session happen. Janelle had her hair and make-up done and we all headed out to Hug Point. The weather was amazing that day. There was no wind, which is very weird for the Oregon Coast. It was beautiful!
And Janelle, yeah, she might be the most beautiful bride ever! Her barely blush dress is gorgeous, especially the little lace details she had added.
Hug Point has one very unique feature almost all Oregon Coast beaches do not have, a waterfall! There are also many little caves and hidden areas that are revealed during low tide. The cliffs and rocks are so many different colors. It is so pretty.
Janelle and Garrett were so relaxed during their session. No wedding stress so they were able to just enjoy one another. I love all the sweet and tender moments between these two. They are so in love and happy, and it shows in the photos.
Going into this session the plan was not to trash the dress. But as the sun started to go down, Janelle decided to go for it. And the results are amazing. Walking slowly through the ocean surf, her dress just looked amazing. Seriously, Janelle is absolutely gorgeous and they are the cutest couple in the world!
