Oceanside, Oregon Family Session
There is something really special about gathering your whole family at the coast. These Oceanside family photos were full of meaning, history, and so much love. We met early in the morning in Oceanside. The tide was low. The sun was out. And the wind was very real, very Oregon Coast. This session was extra meaningful. Janet was celebrating her 85th birthday and wanted photos with her family. A moment like that deserves to be documented. The kind you look back on for years.
This family has been coming to Oceanside for generations. It’s their place. The kids grew up visiting, playing on the beach, and exploring the coastline. Coming back together for photos here felt full circle.
EARLY MORNING FAMILY PHOTOS IN OCEANSIDE

Low tide gave us something special. We were able to walk straight into Oceanside Beach Cave without going through the tunnel. If you’ve been here before, you know how rare that is. It made the whole morning feel a little extra magical.
It was windy and a bit cold, especially for the girls. They stayed close to Grandma and kept sneaking into her sweater to warm up. Those ended up being some of my favorite moments. Simple, real, and full of connection.
That’s the beauty of extended family sessions. They’re not just about getting everyone looking at the camera. They’re about documenting relationships. The quiet moments. The laughter. The way everyone fits together.

Planning Oceanside Family Photos
Morning sessions on the Oregon Coast are always a good idea. The light is soft. The beaches are quieter. And if we time it with low tide, we get access to places most people miss. Wind is part of the experience here. I’ll always help guide you on what to wear so you stay comfortable and still look amazing in photos. For larger groups, I keep things relaxed and organized. We’ll get the classic group shots, then break into smaller combinations so everything feels easy and natural.
Photographing Extended Families on the Oregon Coast
I photograph extended families all along the Oregon Coast every summer and fall. I know how to keep things moving without it feeling rushed. Working with different ages, personalities, and group sizes is something I am very familiar with. And I know how to make space for the moments that matter most.
If you’re planning Oceanside family photos or gathering your family at the coast, I would love to document it for you. Reach out and I’ll help you plan a session that feels easy, meaningful, and true to your family.
