Oregon Cabin Elopement | Lauren + Chris
Lauren and Chris’s fall cabin elopement in the Columbia River Gorge was unforgettable. I first met them earlier in the year for their engagement session at Wahclella Falls and Government Cove, and we instantly connected. They had always dreamed of saying “I do” in the Gorge, and they found the perfect spot in Carson, Washington. On their wedding day, it poured nonstop, so we switched to Plan B. Lauren and Chris were staying at the Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins, a stunning property with cozy, scenic spots everywhere. The cabin would be a beautiful spot for their special day, nestled in the incredible property of Carson Ridge. With their mothers by their side, we decided the cabin’s front porch would be the perfect, dry place for their intimate ceremony.
Lauren and Chris are the happiest couple. They are super laid back and love to be outside in nature together. It was a real honor to be part of their elopement ceremony. Lauren looked absolutely stunning in her Madison James gown. The dress was so gorgeous. Her lovely pearl earrings and sparkly shoes were perfect accents. Lauren has the most incredible eyes. They sparkle! Chris looked so handsome in his suit and I loved the color of his tie. It matched the breathtaking flowers created by the very talented Susanna Luck Flowers. Susanna made a lovely floral crown that was perfect for Lauren. And that bouquet, so amazing and so perfect for this fall day in the woods.
I spent the day with Lauren and Chris and it couldn’t have been more magical. The mountains and hills in the gorge were so pretty with the low clouds and rain. When I arrived at the cabin, Lauren was just starting to get ready in her cabin with her mother. She was relaxed, not stressing about the weather and so excited to marry the man of her dreams today. Their ceremony was full of emotions and some tears. They exchanged their vows and they were so sweet. I loved that they chose their mothers to be their witnesses. This was so special for the 4 of them. A few days after their elopement they flew to San Diego for a stress free and fun reception with friends and family.
