Maddie En Pointe in the Pearl | Portland Dance Photographer

I have always loved the ballet. Ballerinas are so graceful and elegant. They are incredibly talented and make it look so easy. Ballet is so beautiful. My daughter dances at the Fired-Up Dance Company. They are an amazing studio with some very talented dancers. I have always wanted to do ballet photography. Last month I had the opportunity to photograph a very talented dancer.

This is Madeline. She is amazing. She is graceful and so beautiful. Maddie is so sweet and soft spoken. We had so much fun doing this session. I was amazed by the things she was able to do. I could watch her dance all day. And she was only 12 when we did this session!

Ballet photos are so pretty in black and white. They are timeless and classic, just like ballet. I know I keep saying it, but Maddie you are so talented and beautiful. I just can’t believe she is only 12 years old.

At the end of Maddie’s session she changed outfits and we took some photos for her headshots. I love this side of her. A little tougher and a little more attitude. She was a dream to work with. And Tanner Springs Park in the Pearl District was the perfect location for this.Big things are in your future Maddie! Good luck at Nationals this summer!
