Kailynn & Nick

Kailynn & Nick’s farm wedding was beautiful and so much fun. The weather that day may not have been ideal, with several heavy downpours and lots of rain, never once did this wonderful couple let that affect their wedding day. It’s Oregon, you just never know what the weather is going to do. Kailynn & Nick’s wedding took place in Scappoose, Oregon on her grandparents farm. The farm was amazing, with goats, a huge pig and beautiful white horse. The trees and forest area surrounding the farm was the perfect place for their ceremony and reception.

Kailynn grew up playing on this farm and her grandfather passed away recently, making this special place even more meaningful. On the back of Kailynn’s dress she had a special heart sewn on and it was cut out of one of his old shirts. What a sweet way to keep him close on her wedding day. Kailynn is so creative and talented. She made many of the wedding details, including all the gorgeous signs. Her calligraphy is beautiful and I love that she made the signs. The pastel colors were so pretty against all the dark green. I love all the cute “Up” details. Kailynn put her whole heart into designing the wedding of her dreams and it was perfect. Surrounded by family and friends, these two celebrated their love and it was an amazing day.

Getting Ready

Kailynn & Nick got ready in separate locations. I briefly stopped by to check on the guys and they were laughing and having a great time. Each of the groomsman wore different colored pastel bowties to match the bridesmaids dresses. Kailynn and all her special ladies were enjoying every minute getting ready together. These moments are always my favorite. Kailynn’s dress was gorgeous and the details were so pretty. Kailynn’s flower girl was absolutely adorable and loved having her photo taken.

First Look & Wedding Party

After getting ready and heading over to the farm for the ceremony, Kailynn and Nick had their first look. They exchanged letters first, read them and then turned to each other and their sweet giggles were perfect. They were so happy to see each other and hug. Kailynn & Nick are so cute together and you can tell how in love they are. After their first look, we did some more wedding party photos just before the ceremony. All the flowers created by Brier & Ivy were absolutely stunning!

Ceremony

Kailynn & Nick selected a special grove of trees on the farm for their ceremony. It was a beautiful spot, even with the dark gloomy clouds and I can see why they love this place. The aisles were lined with more beautiful signs created by Kailynn. They looked amazing. Kailynn’s dad walked her down the aisle and up the hill. The ceremony was lovely with several sweet moments. And they are now married!

Reception

Kailynn & Nick’s reception was so much fun. All the little details were perfect. For dinner they served their favorite meal, breakfast. There were pancakes and french toast, bacon and fruit. It was such a cool idea and everyone loved it. I don’t think they could keep the bacon basket filled. For dessert, Hello Cupcake created delicious fruity pebble cupcakes, cakes and other yummy treats. The cupcakes were so good! The tents did a great job keeping the rain out. Kailynn & Nick played the shoe game and that was hilarious. There were speeches and lots of laughs. And then there was dancing, lots of dancing and everyone joined in.

We snuck out of the reception for a few more couples photos before it got too dark. These two were having so much fun, the stress and hustle of wedding prep had passsed and they were so relaxed. They were enjoying every moment of their wedding day and their eyes were filled with love and happiness. They really are the sweetest couple.
