Ellie at the Oregon Coast | Portland Senior Photographer

For Ellie’s Senior Photos we really wanted to do something extra special. I knew the Oregon Coast would be the perfect location for her photos. Ellie is an amazing young lady. She is a very talented dancer, so funny, and a great role model. Ellie dances at Fired-Up Dance Academy. In the past year she has had some incredible opportunities to dance across the country. When Ellie is on the stage she comes alive. I could watch her dance all day.

I had this idea of a beautiful light blue skirt for the Coast, blowing in the wind. Ellie’s wonderful grandmother took my idea and made her a gorgeous, flowly, skirt. It was perfect. We left Portland on a hot summer day in the afternoon with a car full of friends and dancers. When we arrived at the beach we were greeted by drizzle and dark clouds moving in. It wasn’t the weather I was hoping for, but its the Oregon Coast so its expected. Hug Point near Cannon Beach is one of my most favorite beaches. I love the caves, the waterfall and all the pretty cliffs.

Ellie is so fun to photograph. I always love our dance photo sessions and today was even more special. She is such a beautiful girl. She is kind and has the best laugh. This Oregon Coast senior session is an instant favorite.

This girl and that skirt, stunning. We quickly ran out of light and the drizzle turned to rain. That didn’t stop Ellie, and the other girls that were with us. They danced in the rain on the beach and it was amazing. They laughed and splashed in the cold ocean. It was a breathe of fresh air.
