WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN THE COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE?

WINTER + SPRING

WINTER: Snow and ice storms are common in the winter, maybe 3-4 a year. The waterfalls freeze and trails get slippery, but the frozen falls are magical.

SPRING: It can be rainy with plenty of sunshine filled days. Waterfalls are full and everything is coming back to life. Trails are quieter this time of year but can be muddy.

SUMMER + FALL

SUMMER: The most sunny days. Trails are busy and parking can be an issue in popular locations. If you avoid the weekends, then you should be fine. Trees are full and green.

FALL: The leaves start changing and the weather is cools down. The colors are so vibrant. Crowds are lower and this is really a beautiful time of year to adventure in the Columbia River Gorge.
