Cannon Beach Wedding at Haystack Rock | Melody + Steven

Melody and Steven's wedding in Cannon Beach took place in front of Haystack Rock on a lovely summer evening. The forecast was a possibility of rain, but luckily we only had a little mist roll in around sunset. The weather at the Oregon Coast can be unpredictable, but that is part of what makes the Coast incredible. Rain or shine, a wedding on the beach is always a great idea.

Melody and Steven wanted to do a first look before the ceremony. While Steven was looking out to the ocean, Melody came down the stairs and walked out to him. She tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around. He was speechless when he saw her. It was so cute!

This was such a fun group of family and friends. There was so much excitement and laughter. Steven had everyone laughing and the pre-wedding jitters just floated away. After taking their signature fireball shots, it was time to say "I Do" in front of their guests with the beautiful Pacific Ocean behind them. Their ceremony was sincere and loving.

Melody and Steven were very excited for their couples portraits and wanted to have fun and go crazy. They were up for anything, including laying in the cold wet sand. It was pure magic and such a joy to photograph. Cannon Beach weddings can be as unique as you want, despite the popular location. I am so happy for this amazing couple the family of 3 they have now become. Congratulations Melody + Steven!

What makes Cannon Beach a great place to get married?

Cannon Beach is a wonderful location on the Northern Oregon Coast to get married at or elope. This is the closest beach to the Portland area, making it easy to reach. The town of Cannon Beach is really cute, with little shops and places to eat. There are several options for hotels and houses to rent. This makes a wedding at the beach convenient for guests and really enables you to feel like you are on vacation and ready to relax.

Cannon Beach is also a great wedding location because there are several gorgeous beaches in the area. There are options with forests, cliffs, rock formations and even a waterfall. Some couples like to get married at one location and then go to another spot for their couples portraits. This is a very easy option because everything is pretty close by.
