Best of 2016 | Oregon Elopement & Wedding Photographer
2016 was an exciting year filled with gorgeous Oregon Coast Elopements, beautiful Portland Weddings and some really fun Engagement Sessions. I had the pleasure of meeting some amazing couples and was able to tell their love story through beautiful images. Whether we were at the Oregon Coast, the Gorge, or in Portland, every moment spent with these wonderful clients was a joy. Engagement Sessions took place in the Columbia River Gorge and in Portland at the peak of the fall color. Elopements, which happen to be my favorite because they are so intimate and romantic, took place in Portland, at the Oregon Coast and in the Columbia Gorge. In 2016 I also photographed some beautiful weddings with stunning details, gorgeous brides and some wonderful families helping celebrate their love. 2016 was a love-filled year and I am so excited for 2017 Oregon Elopements and Weddings!
2016 Favorite Engagement Session Moments
Molly & Aaron’s Sauvie Island Farm Engagement Session
We met on a spring afternoon at Sauvie Island Farms for Molly & Aaron’s Engagement Session. This farm belongs to Aaron’s family and is full of history and memories. This made their engagement session so special and really highlighted who they are as a couple. The peach and apple trees were in bloom and they were so pretty. Molly and Aaron were so much fun to photograph. They love each other so much and love to be silly together. It was a beautiful engagement session on the farm.

Lauren & Chris’s Wahclella Falls & Government Cove Engagement Session
I was so excited when Lauren contacted me and wanted to schedule their engagement photos at Wahclella Falls. I love waterfall photography sessions and Wahclella Falls is one of the best waterfalls for Engagement Sessions or Elopements and Weddings. We went to the falls in the middle of the week to avoid the crowds and we had the falls to ourselves for about 30 minutes, it was wonderful. After hiking back from the falls we went to Government Cove for the beautiful views of the Columbia River. Lauren & Chris were so much fun to hang out with and we had a wonderful day together.

Dana & Ryan’s Gorgeous Fall Engagement Session
This Fall Engagement Session at Jenkins Estate was incredible. I was so excited to meet Dana & Ryan. The rain stopped just before their session started and the colors of the leaves were breathtaking. Dana and Ryan are so sweet together and so happy. I can’t wait for their wedding this June.

Alisa & Blake’s Beautiful Winter Engagement Session at Barn Kestrel
I was so excited to meet Alisa & Blake at their wedding venue, Barn Kestrel, for their Engagement Session. These two are so in love and so cute together. It was so much fun exploring the venue and talking about wedding plans. I am so excited for their wedding later this year. Its going to be beautiful!

2016 Favorite Oregon Coast & Portland Elopements
Brandi & Cory’s Cannon Beach Oregon Coast Elopement
This incredible couple was so wonderful to meet and photograph their special love story. Haystack Rock was the perfect background for their gorgeous couples photos. It was a lovely spring day at the coast and the beach was almost empty. I can’t think of a more perfect place to say “I do”.

Laura & Ryan’s Ecola State Park Oregon Coast Elopement
It was a chilly, drizzly day at the Oregon Coast but it was magical and so full of joy and love. We were especially excited when we arrived and the road to Indian Beach was open. Laura and Ryan incorporated several traditions into their photos and I particularly like the lantern. I loved Laura’s BHLDN gown, it was so pretty and perfect for the beach. They were the sweetest couple to work with and I am so happy for them.

Carrie & David’s Rose Garden Elopement & Oregon Coast Couples Session
Carrie and David flew to Portland from Missouri for their destination Elopement at the Portland Rose Garden. The garden were so beautiful and their intimate ceremony was so special. It was just them, the judge and my husband and I. It was a very special honor to part of their wedding. After their ceremony we went out to Hug Point for their couples photos on the beach. This was the first time Carrie had ever seen the ocean or walked in the sand. It was an incredible experience watching someone fall instantly in love with the Oregon Coast.

Lauren & Chris’s Romantic Fall Columbia Gorge Cabin Elopement
Lauren & Chris’s Elopement was so romantic and so beautiful. It was a very, very rainy fall day. The ceremony location was inaccessible so we went with plan B. The ceremony was held on the beautiful porch of the cabin they were staying in at Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins. Their intimate and emotional ceremony was so lovely. I am so happy for this wonderful couple.

Molly & Aaron’s Romantic and Gorgeous Summer Farm Wedding
Molly & Aaron’s wedding was held on the family farm. It was the perfect wedding location and the setting was so beautiful. Molly looked absolutely exquisite in her wedding gown. The wedding party was hilarious and so much fun to be around. The details were beautiful and delicate. This wedding was so beautiful and filled with so much joy and excitement.

Cassandra & Ty’s Beautiful Vineyard Wedding at Tualatin Estates Vineyard
Cassandra and Ty’s wedding venue was so pretty. The grape vines were full and the views were amazing. Cassandra wore a custom designed silk gown and corset and it was so amazing. She looked like a princess. I love the romantic and boho elements of this wedding. There was lots of wine, laughs and celebration.

Debra & Michael’s Summer Forest Wedding at Oxbow Park
It may have poured several times during their wedding but that didn’t stop this wonderful couple from smiling and laughing and truly enjoying their special day. Debra looked beautiful in her wedding dress and I love the length. Michael was so excited to be marrying Debra. They were joined by family and close friends and it was a special day of celebration.

2016 Favorite Anniversary & Couples Sessions
Lori & Scott’s Breathtaking Government Cove Anniversary Session
Lori & Scott celebrated their 17th anniversary by getting dressed up and adventuring out to the Columbia River Gorge. Lori’s bright magenta dress popped against the green hills and stone walls. These two are in love more than ever and this was the perfect way to celebrate 17 amazing years together.

Janelle & Garrett’s Stunning Abiqua Falls Wedding Anniversary
Not only is this my most favorite couple to photograph, this is also my most favorite waterfall to hike to. Abiqua Falls is quite the adventure to get to but it is so worth it. Janelle and Garrett are so much fun to work with and they love each other so much. Who doesn’t want to wear their wedding gown again? This was the perfect location for some amazing couples photos.

Sara & Fintan’s Beautiful Abiqua Falls Wedding Anniversary Session
Another beautiful session at my favorite waterfall, Abiqua Falls. Sara & Fintan had been married for a year and wanted to celebrate their love again. It was quite the adventure getting to the falls, one that Fintan wasn’t quite prepared for, but it was so worth it. I love couples that continue to create magic in front of the camera after they are married and vow to love one another once again.
