Backyard Wedding in Sherwood Oregon | Christina and Alan
Christina and Alan are an amazing couple. They have a beautiful connection and they are so in love with one another. Christina and Alan have spent the last couple of months working very hard on their new home in Sherwood. They choose their new home for their wedding ceremony and celebration. The house and the grounds looked so amazing. It was the perfect setting for an intimate backyard wedding. Of course their backyard is almost 3 arces!
I met Christina and Alan a few months prior to their wedding date. I instantly fell in love with this sweet and fun couple. They are always laughing and smiling. Christina and Alan are so much fun to be around. You can view their engagement photography session here: Summer Sunset Engagement Session | Portland.
September 19th, 2015 was a beautiful day. The sun was shining and warm. There was all blue sky, it was perfect.
When I walked in and saw Christina, I was in awe. Christina looked incredibly gorgeous. She was so calm and relaxed. She was also very excited her wedding day had finally arrived. Christina, her 2 sisters, her daughter and her mother were all in her beautiful bathroom getting ready for the wedding. I loved watching Christina with the most important ladies in her life. They are all bonded together very closely.
After a few issues with a dress malfunction, Christina’s sisters opted for the over the head option. Christina didn’t get flustered or upset with the button malfunction. She just laughed and agreed, over the head the dress was the only way the dress was going on.
Christina’s sparkly shoes were beautiful and the jewelry she wore has very special meaning to her. Christina’s dress was stunning. The lace and detail was really pretty and delicate. The dress was gorgeous and looked amazing on Christina. I also really loved Christina’s daughters dress. The lace matched perfectly.
The details of Christina’s and Alan’s wedding were simple but impactful. The flowers were bright and bold and really stood out. All the little details came together perfectly. I really loved the seed packets with the customized message from Christina and Alan. The beautiful arch used in the ceremony was made by Christina’s father. It was amazing! The yard at their home was the perfect setting for all these beautiful details.
Before family formals and guests arrived, Christina and Alan briefing did a first look. Alan had no idea what her dress looked like and he was blown away. They were all smiles and a few tears were shred as well. They both looked incredible. I love the sweet family photo as they walked up the driveway.
The long driveway was the perfect place for their formal photos as well. Lined by tall trees, it was really pretty. I always love doing formal photos before the ceremony. There isn’t so much of a rush and the couple and enjoy the moment in private before guests arrive.
I think the vest and tie Alan wore was the perfect pop of color. It really complemented Christina’s dress the green surroundings. These two are so adorable. Trying to get them to stop smiling was nearly impossible!
After guests arrived and took their seat, their intimate and beautiful ceremony took place. There were tears and laughs and lots of smiles.
After the ceremony Christina & Alan signed the marriage certificate and then danced the night away. It was the perfect backyard wedding with the most important details of the day being photographed. I am so happy for Christina & Alan. I know they are going to have an amazing life together filled with laughter and happiness! Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special wedding day.
CONGRATULATIONS CHRISTINA & ALAN!
