Aurora Colony Vineyard was the top choice wedding venue for Kylee and Trey. They knew a wedding amongst the grapevines would be the perfect place to celebrate their wedding day. Kylee and Trey spent the last 2 years dating long distance, in part due to covid and also for school and work. Trey was living in Switzerland while Kylee was finishing up her PhD at Oregon State University. Dating long distance involved hours of video chat and talking for hours. This brought Kylee and Trey even closer together and really made this wedding day a celebration! I love Kylee's special story about why they choose Aurora Colony Vineyards.

"Trey was flying in to meet me to go look at wedding venues in the Portland area and I was going to pick him up, but there was an accident that caused me to need to take a detour through Aurora - I fell in love with this venue from the HIGHWAY as I was driving to meet him! We went to this vineyard (we love going wine tasting and every time he visited from Switzerland we went to a new vineyard) and fell in love. I want to capture how perfect and serendipitous this venue was for us!"

Getting Ready

Kylee and her bridesmaids had a great time getting their hair and makeup done. Kylee looked so beautiful and was so excited her wedding day was finally here. Kylee's mom helped her put on her dress and this was a very special moment. Kylee looked stunning in her Sophia Tolli bridal gown. The guys helped with most of the setup and then slipped into their tuxes. They all looked very handsome.

The Ceremony

The ceremony at Aurora Colony vineyards was absolutely beautiful. The sun was setting and the views were breathtaking. Kylee's dad walked her down the aisle, with so much joy and happiness on his face. Trey's father was the officiant, which was so special. Kylee and Trey said their vows in front of family and friends. I love this venue because of the amazing stairs the wedding party walk down as well as all the different perspectives that can be photographed.

The Details

The different hues of purples were perfect for a fall wedding at a winery. The flowers were done by Songbird Floristry and looked amazing! Many the details were made by Kylee and Trey or other family members. Trey designed and put together the beautiful wedding invitations. He also created the programs. Together they made all the centerpieces, each one a different Disney theme. The amount of thought and detail they put into each Disney scene was amazing. The cake stands were handmade by Kylee's grandfather. All the special details were so meaningful to Kylee and Trey.

Wedding Party & Family Photos

After the ceremony we took care of the Wedding Party photos as well as family photos. Everyone was just so happy for Kylee and Trey. You could feel the excitement. Kylee and Trey have wonderful friends and the most supportive family.

Couples Photos

After the ceremony and photos, guests celebrated with drinks and hors d'oeuvres on the terrace overlooking the vineyard. I took the time to sneak Kylee and Trey away for their couples photos. This is also a great time for couples to have some time together, without feeling like they need to be talking to guests. They can reflect on the ceremony and take some time to connect. Aurora Colony Vineyards has so many different beautiful areas for photos. Kylee and Trey chose this venue for the vineyard, so we knew we had to take most their wedding photos amongst the grape vines. The sunset was setting and the mood was so romantic, perfect for couples photos.

The Reception

Now it was time to celebrate Kylee and Trey! The new reception building at Aurora Colony Vineyard is breathtaking. Its bright and modern and quite big. This new addition really makes the winery the best vineyard wedding venue in Oregon. The reception included a delicious Mexican buffet and the best cupcakes and cake. There were several toasts and speeches. Kylee's father gave the most unique and meaningful speech I have ever photographed at a wedding. The photo booth and craft center was a fun twist. Everyone was having the best time and then the dancing started. Kylee and Trey danced the night away with friends and family. It was so fun to watch all the moves and see everyone so happy.
