Abiqua Falls Engagement Session | Portland Photographer

Abiqua Falls was the perfect setting for this Styled Engagement Session. The location was breathtaking and the vendors provided gorgeous dresses and flowers. It was so incredibly beautiful. It was also quite the adventure to find this elusive waterfall. This fun photographer playdate was put together by the amazing Jessica of Wanderlust NW Weddings by J.M.Hunter Photography.

Getting to Abiqua Falls is difficult. Its like a waterfall treasure hunt. With general directions glanced at and a plan to follow the map on our phones, the 12 of us met in Silverton and started our quest. Little did we know there was no cell service available and no signs. Also, the main road goes splits a few times without changing names. It may have taken us almost 3 hours to find, we made it! We hiked/ran down the trail to the waterfall. It was getting late in the day and the light would be fading soon. Once you see Abiqua Falls for the first time you are speechless. It is so powerful and stunning. One of the most amazing places I have ever seen.

Jenelle and Adam were the first to be photographed. Jenelle wore the most beautiful dress by Rose & Delilah named Willow. The English Dept. graciously loaned us the sample dress. It was sheer and elegant, so pretty. Jenelle looked amazing and was so brave in the chilly mist from the falls. Jenelle and Adam are such a wonderful couple and they are so in love. It was so sweet watching them together in between photos.

The colors were perfect for the setting and the bouquet was stunning!

These two photos are my absolute favorite. Adam is an incredible gentlemen helping Jenelle onto the slippery rocks. I love the connection to each other and to the location. Abiqua Falls is a magical place for Engagement or Elopement photos. Enjoy the adventure getting there. It is completely worth it and something anyone visiting Oregon must see.
