Abigail’s Garden Fall Wedding | Mariah + Alex
As a photographer, capturing Mariah and Alex’s Fall Wedding in Abigail's Garden at the Abernathy Center was an absolute joy. The day brought off-and-on rain showers, but I always remind my couples that unpredictable weather often creates the most meaningful moments. I first met Mariah and Alex along the Coast, when Alex surprised Mariah and proposed on the beach at Hug Point. I was so excited to photograph their wedding!
Mariah was stunning in her beautiful wedding dress, and photographing her among the autumn scenery was a dream. The thoughtful details of the day really stood out through my lens—sage green accents paired perfectly with lush white flowers, creating a clean and elegant look that photographed beautifully against the fall backdrop. Every detail felt intentional and timeless, making this fall wedding a perfect blend of seasonal charm and classic style. Mariah put in so much work on the details- making the gorgeous guest book wall, wrapping each book in paper for every guest, to making the table cloths and so many other details.
Weddings like Mariah and Alex’s are the reason I love photographing at Abigail's Garden. The Abernathy Center offers such a naturally beautiful setting, especially for a fall wedding, and the way the day unfolded felt incredibly authentic. From the cleared skies at the ceremony to the emotional moments shared between the couple, it was an honor to document a wedding that proved even a little rain can’t take away from a truly unforgettable celebration.
Getting Ready
The Bridal getting ready was large and filled with light. There are plenty of mirrors for everyone. Mariah had the sweetest bridesmaids. They all laughed and enjoyed this time together before the ceremony. Mariah had provided beautiful details for the layout- simple, vintage and elegant.
The Groom getting ready area had room for everyone and also plenty of mirrors. They all were so helpful getting all the ties tied.
The Ceremony in Abigail's Garden
Mariah and Alex did not chose to have a First Look before the ceremony. Just in time for the ceremony, the rain stopped, leaving behind soft light and a calm, romantic atmosphere that made Abigail's Garden feel even more intimate and beautiful. Mariah and Alex exchanged the most heartwarming vows- with several inside jokes and many tears shred. It was an incredible ceremony with a beautiful fall background.
The Wedding Party
In between rain showers we were able to get the Wedding Party and Family photos taken. The guys were so funny and had so much fun taking photos together. The Bride and bridesmaids look so beautiful and happy. The mix of sage and green dresses for perfect for a fall garden wedding. And the flowers, oh my, they were so pretty!
Details
The amazing flowers by Farmington Gardens were a mix of white and green. The floral arch created for the Ceremony was perfect for the space. The star of the details was the Guest Book Wall created by Mariah. It was so personalized and took so much time to create. The drink stirs were even personalized to look like Mariah & Alex's cat.
The Bride & Groom in Abigail's Garden
The lush and green walkway at Abigail's Garden was the perfect area for Bride and Groom photos. Mariah's dress was so full and looked so beautiful spread out. Mariah and Alex were so happy to finally be married and were ready to celebrate with their guests.
The Reception
The reception was so much fun for Mariah and Alex and their guests. There were several speeches, with many funny stories told. Guests ate delicious food and had a variety of desserts to choose from. Mariah and Alex danced the night away with friends and family. The evening concluded with a bubble exit!
