Molly & Aaron’s elegant summer farm wedding at Sauvie Island Farms was breathtaking. I first met Molly and Aaron earlier in the spring for their Engagement Session. We met at the family farm, Sauvie Island Farms. We enjoyed a wonderful evening together and I really got to know this incredible couple and their love story. Sauvie Island Farms has been in Aaron’s family for many many years. It was the perfect location for their elegant summer farm wedding. Surrounded by family and friends, this amazing couple said, “I do.” Thunderstorms came and went throughout the day, but the clouds parted just as the ceremony began.

Getting Ready | Aaron & his Groomsman

I began photographing their wedding day early in the afternoon. I drove out to Sauvie Island in a major thunderstorm. The rain was a little unexpected for this time of year, but that wasn’t going to ruin this special day. I met Aaron and his groomsman who were just finishing getting ready. Aaron and his groomsman were happy a great time getting ready. There were many laughs and an epic bowtie tying challenge. All the guys looked so handsome in their tuxes, especially Aaron. He was so excited to see Molly and marry his best friend.

After spending some time with these hilarious and good looking guys I headed over to see Molly and her bridesmaids. Everyone looked so amazing. The purple-mauve colored bridesmaids dresses were so pretty. Molly looked absolutely stunning. She is so graceful and elegant. Today she radiated joy and happiness. Her beautiful dress was altered by her sweet Grandmother. She added a lace overlay and sleeves to the gown. Molly’s wedding dress was perfection.

Molly’s bridesmaids and her beautiful mother and grandmother helped her into her gown. Everyone was in awe looking at the beautiful bride. Molly looked amazing! I love the special moments with her mother and father. Molly’s mom is the sweetest woman and she just adores her little girl. Molly surprised her father and did a little “First Look” for him. Molly’s father was speechless. There were many tears and hugs. It was a very special moment for them.

First Look & Vows

We headed over to the Ceremony site for the First Look. The Ceremony site was located in the middle of the Christmas trees with a beautiful view over the farm and the rest of Sauvie Island. It was such a pretty spot on the farm for their farm wedding. How amazing is that huge arch and all those rows of church pews! Aaron arrived first and the anticipation and excitement was electric. He was so excited to see Molly. Molly tapped on his shoulder and the tender moments after were so touching. Molly and Aaron are so in love and happy.

Molly and Aaron wrote very personal and intimate vows to one another. They chose to share those vows with one another in a private. It was an honor to be there for this moment. All I can say is these two amazing people are perfect for one another.

Wedding Party

After they exchanged their vows the wedding party joined Molly & Aaron. There was laughter and big hugs, and some tears. We were ahead of schedule, so the wedding party photographs quickly turned silly with the extra time. Molly and Aaron both have a brother and sister. Seeing the 6 of them interact was so much fun. They are going to have an exciting life together, all of them. I love the punch of color the bridesmaids dresses created against the fields of green and the cloudy sky.

Before the ceremony we took a few minutes to create some special photos of the bride and groom. Molly is a natural in front of the camera and needs no direction. Her gorgeous eyes and beautiful smile are stunning. Watching them cuddle with one another was so sweet.

The Ceremony

The rain stopped and the sun shined through the clouds minutes before the ceremony began. Surrounded by family and friends, Molly and Aaron pledged their love for one another and vowed to spend their lives together. The day they had been waiting for was finally here and they were pronounced Husband & Wife!

The Details

This Elegant Summer Farm Wedding was so gorgeous. Every detail was beautiful. The field was filed with tables and chairs with lights strung from tree to tree. The gold chairs that lined the long wood tables sparkled against the green grass and trees. Lavender provided by Sauvie Island Lavender farm decorated the formal place settings. The flowers and candles on the tables created a lovely soft and delicate feel to the reception. The cake was beautiful and the fresh berries fit in with the farm location. This amazing wedding and these details had me swooning.

Let’s Celebrate

It was now time to celebrate. The sun was setting and everything glowed. Molly and Aaron signed their marriage certificate, with a pretty funny oops moment. Everyone enjoyed some delicious food, laughed at some great speeches and celebrated the lovely couple. Molly and Aaron have a very special family and group of friends in their life and it was an honor to be included in their wedding celebration.
