Portland Fall Family Sessions 2020

It’s August, which means it is time to announce details for this years Portland Fall Family Sessions. What a crazy year it has been. I hope everyone has been staying safe and have found ways to make the best of the situation with Covid-19. Photography sessions have picked back up since June and will continue through the fall, as long as it is safe to do so. This year Fall Family sessions will be very limited and will follow strict safety guidelines. Despite the new guidelines in place, it is going to be an amazing fall season.

Portland Fall Family sessions will take place in August, September, October and November. August is perfect for sunflowers, fields of green and warm sunshine. In September, the weather is still warm and sunsets are still magical. Flowers are in bloom in fields and local farms. September weather is still pretty predictable. October is a great time for those that love fall color still on the trees. The timing of peak fall color does change year to year, but mid October is typically the best time for fall leaves. The weather is still pretty nice, especially in early October. November is a great time for photos for those that love leaves on the ground, warmer and cozier outfits and lots of snuggle with your loved ones. No matter what month you choose, Oregon is beautiful in the Fall!

I love this time of year and look forward to meeting some new families this year and seeing the growth in returning clients. I can’t think of a better way to document 2020 than a fall family session.

Fall Family Session Details

Dates: August-November

Pricing: This is the only time of year that special family pricing is available. Normal family session pricing starts at $650.

Tualatin River Wildlife Refuge $375 • Portland Metro Area $450 • Oregon Coast $550

Sessions include 30-45 minutes of photography, all edited digital images with a print release

Add-on’s: 10 professional prints, up to 8×10 $150 • 8×8 Heirloom Album $375 • 10×10 Heirloom Album $525

Covid-19 Precautions

  • Only 1 session will be booked per day, which will limit availability but will help follow safety guidelines.
  • Whenever possible, I highly encourage booking a weekday when crowds are smaller and the popular locations will have more space available.

  • I’m staying updated on the latest information from the CDC and local and state authorities; acting responsibly by avoiding travel to outbreak hotspots; practicing social distancing by holding most meetings online instead of in person; swapping hugs for a friendly wave; and, last but not least, practicing good hand hygiene and wearing a mask when 6ft distance cannot be maintained.

  • A signed waiver will be required prior to your session.
  • I kindly ask if anyone is not feeling well, has a fever, or has been exposed to someone that has tested positive, you please cancel your session. There is no fee for cancelling.
