Ally and Cory’s Oregon Elopement at the Green Ridge Lookout fire tower near Sisters, Oregon was magical. Ally and Cory said their vows in front of close friends and family on their 8th dating anniversary. One of their first dates was hiking to the Green Ridge Lookout tower and they knew that this was where they wanted to have their wedding ceremony take place. The lookout tower has the most incredible mountain views. The forest roads to get to the tower is quite interesting, but we made it there and back. Ally looked gorgeous and was so happy and excited this day had finally arrived. Cory was such a gentleman and so happy to call Ally his wife.

The ceremony took place overlooking the mountains and valleys. Their vows were so sweet and loving. I think they both got a little teary eyed. After the ceremony they celebrated with their family in the lookout tower. A toast to the couple was made and everyone enjoyed some huge and very delicious cupcakes. Elopements are such a wonderful idea because Ally and Cory were able to have long conversations with all their guests. They were also really able to take in every moment together and enjoy the more intimate setting. And choosing an adventurous location for your elopement is even more magical.

I looked at a lot of different photographers for my April 2018 elopement, seeing as the ceremony was private, it was very important for us to have amazing photos to share with friends and family. When I saw Shannon’s work I was instantly hooked. Not only are her prices very fair, but her photos capture amazing light and tender moments I didn’t see in other photographer’s work. She was very patient with us as we worked out our elopement location and details in the months leading up to the special day, and was happy to travel all the way to an obscure lookout tower in Sisters, Oregon. My husband and I can both be awkward picture takers, but working with her on that day was easy and fun, she was very helpful with directing us into poses. The turnaround time for the photos was incredibly quick and we are absolutely thrilled with the work she did. The photos are beautiful, top quality, and bathed in a gorgeous warm light!
