Chiang Mai: Part Three, Wat Doi Suthep and Tigers
On our 3rd day in Chiang Mai, Thailand we spent our day exploring the Wat Doi Suthep temple and spending time with tigers. We hired a driver to take us up to the temple and drive us around the area for the day. We stopped for some snacks along the road before we got to the temple. It was a windy drive up into the mountains. The temple was incredible. The views were amazing and the temple was quite huge. We explored together and also spent some time walking around alone. It was such a peaceful place. It really was amazing.
After exploring the temple, we headed to our next animal adventure at Tiger Kingdom. We were pretty excited to see these majestic animals up close and in person. We were able to spend time with several different ages of tigers. Of course the baby ones were our favorite. I also thought the tigers that were a few month old were pretty funny playing together. The larger tiger did create a sense of fear, they are huge!
After a long day of exploring, we headed back to the hotel. We went for a swim and relaxed by the pool. That evening we went to dinner to celebrate Josh’s birthday. Being in Thailand for your birthday is pretty special!
Another amazing day in Thailand!
